Kelly Stewart is an Australian Painter and Printmaker based in Edinburgh. She specialises in the medium of screenprinting as a way to combine her drawings, mark making and found textures all into the one image. Each colour is a different layer which is screenprinted by hand at Edinburgh Printmakers Workshop. Kelly spent an 8 day art residency on Iona where she made sketches and little paintings to capture the colours, compositions and imagery that represented the island to her. On her return to Edinburgh Kelly created a series of screenprints and paintings to bring together her ideas.
